Adel is the catalyst for Rinoa's ascension into the world of being a sorceress. She is locked away into a special seal which is heavily guarded by the Lunar Base. As Rinoa is possessed by Ultimecia, Adel is set free. This sorceress combines her powers with Rinoa.

The defeat Adel in battle you shouldn't use and Guardian Forces or any All-Attack spells as this hits Rinoa as well and she must survive. Use Protect and Shield to raise defense against her magic. Casting Aura is advisable on your party and then unleash the limit breaks on to Adel. Make sure you remember to cure Rinoa once and awhile. If she dies, you will lose the battle. You can draw regen from her and cast it on her or yourself. You should also cast Triple and cast Flare three times on Adel. Don't forget to mug that Samantha Soul from Adel, as it's very rare.
There will be another battle with Adel only.
