The girl who ties the story together
Julia, is one of the key characters to the FFVIII game. She is the mother of Rinoa Heartilly, Laguna's hearthrob before he met Raine, and also the wife of General Caraway. It has been noted that Julia has been related in another story created by Squaresoft which we eventually find out when we play every Squaresoft game. Julia started off as a pianist for the local hotel in Deling City, however her real dream is to sing for people, instead of just play the instruments. She always notices Laguna in the hotel and eventually talks to him. After they get to know each other, Laguna is sent on a mission. Julia waited for Laguna's return to Deling City, however when he doesn't come back because of his mission in Esthar, she marries General, and at that time, Colonel Caraway. During this time, she writes a song about Laguna, called Eyes on Me. This song was very famous and a lot of people get to know Julia this way, it has also been said that it is a story about a girl who unfortunately had to marry some one else because her true love didn't come back. Julia died with out knowing what happened to Laguna. Later on, this song becomes the theme song for her daughter, and her love's son, Squall.
