Biography

Fujin's life before the start Final Fantasy VIII is never revealed; we never know if she's an orphan like Squall and the rest or whether she's on good terms with her actual family. Her parents or any other relations are never mentioned - except for the constant companionship of Seifer and Raijin, Fujin seems like an independent kind of girl.

Ever since the dawn of time we are introduced to Seifer and his Posse, we get the impression that Fujin, as well as Raijin, have always been there for Seifer and are constantly backing him up. We also get the impression that the trio have known each other for quite and while and that maybe Fujin and Raijin are his only friends. All three people form the Disciplinary Committee with Seifer predictably as leader; Fujin is probably his second in command.

Like any loyal friends, Fujin and Raijin back up Seifer when he decides to go over to the sorceress' side and betray Garden. They're always there for him and don't really question his motives until they both realize that perhaps Seifer is spiralling in the wrong direction. Some time during the third disc Fujin and Raijin realize this, and they both ask Squall to help them get the "real" Seifer back.

After that point, Fujin and Raijin are never shown in the game until the ending FMV. After the threat of Sorceress Ultimecia is gone, a reunion between the Posse is shown - Seifer, Fujin, and Raijin are fishing the afternoon away at Fisherman's Horizon when Balamb Garden passes overhead. Fujin and Raijin are bickering as usual as Fujin kicks him off the bridge into the water, and their best friend and leader Seifer finally seems "normal" again at peace with himself.
